Unending Black

For the design of the current house, an overriding goal was assigned to the architect, Betty Shambiro: to design a house that would match the new millennium in its appearance.

When  planning the kitchen, which Shambiro calls the "beating heart of the house" and one of its main spaces, she made sure to combine visible and hidden storage areas, high and low, in shades that combine matte black, white and oak colors that break the binary contrast, and impart a harmonious and elegant look.

The work surface was designed to be comfortable and spacious to work on with the use of a special natural Nagresco Granite stone in the RIVEN finish, which is heat- and scratch-resistant and boasts a classic, accurate and contemporary look.
